Press and public relations work is responsible for the image of the police in the public. Daily press reports, press conferences and responses to media inquiries make police work transparent. Internal public relations work, i.e. informing employees, is also part of the job.
Internet and the police intranet are an essential support in this regard. Participation in events and contacts with Muslim associations and institutions are further fields of activity of the department.
The Authority Strategy and Controlling department defines the strategic priorities for managing the core police tasks in the areas of emergency response and emergency management, combating crime and traffic accidents and safety on the navigable waterways in NRW in a local security program.
The effectiveness of these measures is reviewed by systematically evaluating and analyzing crime and accident statistics as well as a variety of other information and data sources.
