The method is always the same:

The perpetrators usually contact the victim by telephone as alleged lawyers, notaries, etc. to inform them of a large cash or non-cash prize. However, the victim has to pay fees or transportation costs before the money is paid out or handed over.
How to behave correctly:

• If you have not taken part in a lottery, there is no prize
• Never spend money to get a supposed prize!
• Never pay fees or dial special numbers that are subject to charges!
• Do not make any promises over the phone!
• Never give addresses, account or credit card numbers to strangers!
