Our pluralistic society requires tolerant coexistence and intercultural competence. We actively promote mutual understanding between the police as an institution and Muslim society. In this way, we contribute to the considerate coexistence of people in our city based on mutual respect.
We provide information and transparency through
- Trusting cooperation with Muslim institutions and facilities
- presentations on police work in Muslim society
- target group-oriented networking within the city of Duisburg
- Representation of the police at Islamic events and in intercultural committees
- participation in high-profile campaigns by Islamic associations and organizations
- answering media inquiries relating to cooperation with Muslim institutions
- providing information and advice on the topic of Islam within the authorities
